World No Tobacco Day

Vandana International School celebrated “World No Tobacco Day “ in the month of May 2019 to sensitize Children through following activities:
•Role Play
On 7th May 2019, Students of class V presented a role play presenting :
• the harmful effects of tobacco and how people are becoming addicted to it.
• how it affects our surroundings – socially & economically.
They gave a beautiful message in an innocent way that how we can make people aware and how we as family and friends play an important role to convince them to quit smoking and consumption of tobacco.

Fit India Plogging Run

On Tuesday 1st October, 2019 students of Vandana International School conducted a run as part of Fit India Movement commemorating the 150th Gandhi Jayanti. The students walked in and around the school in Sec-10 Dwarka, near the District court and neighboring societies shouting aloud the slogans on Clean India and Stop the use of Plastic. Students also presented informative posters and banners to spread the message. They also carried out cleanliness drive wherever they went. They wore gloves, picked up the plastics, wastes on the road and disposed them in the dustbins. In continuation with the activity a Rally and Cleanliness Drive was held on 2nd October 2019, at Sector 10,Dwarka. The rally was led by Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Mayor of SDMC, Shri V. P Tandon, Chairman of  Vandana International School along with our teachers Ms Manisha, Mr.Tiwari and 52 students of our school. The event was a great success and got the attention of people around them. The young citizens took this initiative in a very positive spirit focussing on the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in one’s life. 

Tree Plantation Drive

Eco Club of Vandana International School organized Tree Plantation Drive under “Jan Shakti Abhiyan” on 15th July, 2019. The drive presented various activities - painting, slogan writing, poster making, quiz and tree plantation highlighting the importance of trees. Around 300 students of primary and middle wing participated enthusiastically and whole heartedly. The young environmentalists were busy planting saplings in the school premises. To throw more light on the event a speech was delivered by Ms Meenakshi Rai, Eco Club Incharge. The event was relevant to focus more on the importance of trees and its conservation.
