I need to forget what's gone, appreciate what remains and look forward for what's next

Just like a caterpillar, in a while  students of VIS would transform their limited identity and life, and would open to new realizations of their true self and all the possibilities that come to them. Their life will unfold in new and exciting ways, and they would become a conscious participant in creating it.

This year too Vandana International Sr Sec School, Sector 10, Dwarka, organised a farewell ceremony themed RUKHSAT on 04 February 2k23 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Dwarka, New Delhi.

One could judge that our special invitees', the XIIth class students, were extremely delighted to have such a heart touching moment when an enriching and memorable journey of fourteen lovely years seemed to come to an end.. Boys were looking handsome and elegant in their suits and girls were looking beautiful, gorgeous and graceful in their saris.

The program began with the welcome address followed by musical composition made of a series of emotional songs presented by the school band ,which surely touched everyone’s hearts . A foot tapping dance performance  bound the august gathering to strike their palms to appreciate the emotional feelings of our students. The most awaited "personality contest" was the highlight of the celebration. Many participated with great zeal and zest. The three rounds observed the potential and versatility of the entrants. Dr. V.P. Tandon, Chairman of Kamal, Vandana ,Gurugram and Trinity Group of Institutions also joined the gala event to bless the outgoing batch.

Ms Akanksha Tandon ,Academic Director ,VIS  bestowed winners with the titles .

Vaibhav Taneja and Bhoomi were conferred the title of Mr.VIS and Ms.VIS 2022-23 respectively.
The entire aura became more sentimental when Akansha Maam bade farewell to her dear students and blessed them with her inspiring words and asked them to tread on the path of truth and humanity.

Zenith

Sports day brings new energy in hearts and minds of all. It is meant to commemorate the legend and create awareness on the importance of sports, fitness and health.

Junior Wing of Vandana International School, Dwarka celebrated Sports Day - ZENITH 2022 on 30th December,22 i.e. Friday.  The event was hold in high esteem by the presence of the trail blazer, Col Vinod Kapoor as the Chief guest of the day, our Chairman Mr. Ved Tandon Sir and our Academic Director, Ms. Akanksha Tandon ma'am.


"Hope is a helium,it is a wish lantern set out into the dark sky of night." This phenomenal event began with releasing countless ballons in the air.The event took place in our spacious playground where the students had a lot of fun while they exuded excitement for the competition that was before them. The ceremonial torch was taken for a run by the captains of all the four houses. Sports day was entailed by dance performance, races and drills wherein participants took part with full verve & vigor. It was a delight to see the excitement of participants as they attempted a variety of races, such as relay race, frog race, keep clean race etc and drills i.e. Saree Drill, Wing Drill, Flower Drill etc. On this very exciting and cheerful day, every student looked forward to participate in a plethora of sporting events. The students were on their marks and all set to go and win medals. The day ended with smiles and memories to last a lifetime. It was a day filled with exhilaration, thrills and cheers.

Reminiscence

Primary wing of VIS celebrated its Annual Day 2022  ‘Reminiscence’ – A Saga Of Folk and Fame From International Acclaim! in the school auditorium to cherish our school’s excellence. It was a function carried out by our school to exhibit students’ talent, remove their stage fear, boost up their confidence and teach them teamwork.

The magnanimous occasion was graced by the trail blazers, our Chief Guests ,Mr. G.R. Grover, registrar at high court, New Delhi and Mr. Om Prakash Vyas, joint registrar at National Human Rights Commission of India.

The function began with the ceremonial lighting of lamp, floral welcome of the chief guests, orchestra by the school choir, welcome dance (Shiv Stuti). It was then followed by the play based on theme Reminiscence - A saga of folktales with the fusion of dance of the different countries.


The premises of the auditorium was filled with cheer and applause as the super talented students of VIS took the stage. They captivated the audience with their extraordinarily performances.


The day marked a proud moment for the meritorious students who received awards for their excellence in scholastic and co-scholastic domains. Our Academic Director, Ms. Akanksha Tandon apprised the parents with curricular and co-curricular achievements of the school and wish the success to the diligent students asking them to celebrate not the prizes but the practice and effort they put in.

The function culminated with grand finale and national anthem.


Krishna Leela

On 7th December 2022, Vandana International School celebrated its annual function at Sarvapalli Radhakrishna Auditorium. 


The theme of this year's annual function  Krishna Leela- a mystical mythological Saga, was to commemorate and celebrate the International Geeta Mahotsav Jayanti initiated by our honorable President Srimati Droupadi Murmu Ji.


As an educational institution,  our school manifests the traditional values and morals inscribed in Geeta to provide an integrated and universal education to our students. 

And, to witness this extraordinary event, it was our privilege to have the venerated company of swami Chidanand Saraswati ji, president and spiritual head of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, a spiritual institution based in Rishikesh, India and Shri Mohan rupa Das ji, president ISCKON East of Kailash among others. 


The annual function started with the lamp lighting ceremony, floral welcome of chief guests, orchestra, and Ganesh Vandana. 

It was then followed by the annual calenders  most awaited visual fiesta - Krishna Leela. 

The breathtaking performance of the students left the audience in awe. 

Revered Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji blessed the students and appreciated our honorable Chairman Dr Ved Tandon sir and the other members of the management to have organized such a phenomenal function which aims at imparting the invaluable teachings of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. 


Annual function is also a time to acquaint the parents and stakeholders with the schools' various achievements.

Aacademic director, Akansha Tandon thus apprised the parents with the laurels and accolades won by the students both in scholastic and non scholastic domains. It was then followed by the prize distribution ceremony to facilitate the prolific and brilliant students of the session 2021-22. 


The function culminated with the grand finale and national anthem.


Innovikaran 2020

Vandana International School organized  Annual Presentation  on a virtual platform today .The  theme  of the Annual  Day  was 'INNOVIKARAN ' , which was meticulously  presented by the students of classes III TO V . The program was commenced by paying  homage to Mahatma Gandhi the' Father of the Nation'. Students  showcased their talent  through song , dance and skit which conveyed the message that all of us belong to the human race and everyone is equal.The Chief Guest Dr Sharda Kumari praised the students performance in the show.Our academic director Akansha ma'am  as always encouraged the students efforts. The event  concluded with a vote of thanks by the vice principal ma'am.

GLOBAL GALA 2021

Vandana International School, Dwarka celebrated its Annual Presentation 'Global Gala'- a saga of festivals of classes Kindergarten to II on 6th February on a virtual platform. The programme was commenced by kindling the virtual lamp.The Academic Director Ms Akansha Tandon felicitate the Chief Guest Mr Abhinav Chaturvedi, a famous T.V actor and addressed the students and Parents and  passed the message that no matter how diverse we are but we all belong to one human race.The event was followed by the cultural programme.  The students enthusiastically participated and showcased their talent.  The Chief Guest praised the students for their wonderful performances and delivered his inspiring speech and urged the students to do their best and bring honour to the school. The Vice Principal Ms Purnima Thakur conveyed the vote of thanks and congratulated the students for their active participation and commendable presentation.

Drastic Plastic

Announcing the excellent performance, Vandana International Sr.Sec.School, Dwarka celebrated its Annual Day along with conferral Ceremony of classes III & IV on 21st January 2020.
Annual Presentation was woven around the theme ‘Say No To Plastic’. School celebrated its crystal jubilee as it has completed 15 years of its beautiful progressive journey. Mr Anto Alphonse ,DCP Dwarka district graced the occasion as chief guest. Entailing the formal welcome by Mr V.P. Tandon Chairman, Vandana International School and Mr Harsh Tandon, Vice Chairman of the school, the progressive report was read by Mrs Akansha Tandon, Academic Director of the school, she made the audience aware of schools achievements in academic and co-curricular Arena. Most riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was the play - Drastic Plastic.
Followed by Felicitation Ceremony, prizes were given away to the achievers who brought laurels to the school. Vote of Thanks was conveyed by Sarah David, head girl of primary wing and the program culminated with National Anthem.

Annual Day Celebration – Sanskriti 2017

Vandana International School celebrated its Annual Day and Prize Distribution Function on 30th December 2017. The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished Chief Guest, Ms Ravinder Bedi.
Ms Ravinder Bedi, Additional District Session Judge, Chief Legal Advisor, NDMC and Ms Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Mayor, SDMC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the cultural function – “Sanskriti”. The function was presided over by Honorable Dr Nitin Malik, Joint Registrar, GGSIP University, Delhi. The other dignitaries present were Mr R M Vatsa, Sr.Advocate, Former President Delhi Bar Association, Mr Sanjeev Anand, Eminent lyricist and Punjabi Pop Singer Bhupi.
Primary students performed a dance titled “Dance World Cup”. They enthralled the audience by performing dances of various countries like India, China, Japan, Spain and Brazil. Children danced in pertinent dance costume. They gave the message “to live locally, think globally and love universally”. Senior Students of the school exhibited their hidden talents through a mesmerizing act “Yugantaram – Samay ki gatha”. The narrative by the students awakened everyone towards the degradation of moral values in Indian society. They also highlighted the difference of traditional Indian values in ‘Satyug’ and ‘Kalyug’. Nowadays respect for elder is taking a backseat in Indian society. However, we must reinforce the Indian values so that our children must be grounded with their roots. The function culminated with much awaited prize distribution ceremony wherein the Chief Guest bestowed the prizes to the most deserving students and motivated them to keep working hard with sincere endeavors. The most memorable moments were marked by the precious words of advice and appreciation by the Chief Guest in his address to parents. Celebrations concluded with a happy note encouraging the students to reach new milestones in the journey of success.
