A CBSE Training Program on 24th January 2023

Vandana International School, Sec-10, Dwarka organized A CBSE Training Program on 24th January 2023 on ‘Sensitization Programme on Financial Literacy and use of Digital Tools wherein all the educators and mentors were apprised about the pedagogies of the same. Approximately 120 teachers attended the training program and were acquainted with the use of digital tools by the Resource person Mohammad  Moinul Arefin who gave an insight on the same. He covered all the areas of Financial Literacy including the financial savings, Banking, Investments and many more areas. It was indeed an invigorating session.

Desh Bhakti Curriculum

*Deshbhakti- not a frenzied outburst of emotions, but a tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.*

With an endeavor to bring about a change in how we feel about the country and what Deshbhakti actually means to each one of us, a workshop was conducted for all the teachers on 31st June 2022 in the school auditorium by Ms. Renu Bhatia, DDE Zone 17, West B, Directorate of Education.
The Deshbhakti Curriculum which has been introduced by the Delhi Directorate of Education, for classes Nursery to senior secondary aims to instil and stimulate the feelings of allegiance, fervency , dedication and devotion towards the nation.
It was an enriching and edifying session.

Business Blaster Programme

Vandana International Sr. Sec School  has collaborated all the educational leaders of SCERT to enlighten all students and teachers on the important aspects of MIND SET CURRICULAM -Entrepreneurship Mindset curriculum which aims to highlight the concept of inner awakening of Comprehensive Mindset based on interdisciplinary research and to empower the children to harness their talents and fulfil their dreams.
We greatly felt honoured to welcome the chief guest, Ms Nirupama Abhayankar, Deputy Director of Education, EMC and Mission Buniyaad , an educationist and mentor of Schools of Excellence .She graced the event with her zeal and spirit by sharing her words of wisdom and talked about the importance of EMC programme. Sedulous and Sagacious Academic Director,VIS Ms Akansha Tandon along with Academic Advisor Mrs Purnima Thakur  added the position on the stage to welcome the special invitees of the ceremony . she extended her gratitude to the august gathering by/with her welcome address and conveyed  best wishes to her dear students after her motivational speech .
The event was also witnessed by the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Alka Sehrawat ,DDE, Zone 21),an educationist ,well versed with all the theories of education. An ambassador to promote and advocate the curriculum of EMC among the students.
Mr Rajkumar Solanki,Nodal Officer ,EMC and Ms Roshni Gulati ,SPE,EMC also Joined the event to encourage our students. 
All the talented and adept participants  of the Business Blaster Programme 2022 of SCERT got initial capital money for investment in their innovative business ideas in the ‘Seed Money Disbursal Ceremony’ which was the highlight of the day along with the presentation of the cultural bonanza comprising of welcome dance ,patriotic song and a yoga performance ,all presented by students of VIS. The event  concluded with the vote of thanks  .
Team VIS wishes all the students would have  an enriching journey of learning experience of Business Blasters programme as they are the
“Youth of India who would be Job Providers rather than the job Seekers”.

WORKSHOP ON PLANNING OF SELF STUDY

Vandana International School organized a virtual workshop on the topic " Planning of Self-Study Schedule and Recreational activities " for the students of class 8th. The school counsellor,Ms. Preeti Sinha had a  interactive session with students as well as their parents wherein she discussed and guided them on how to prepare the selfstudy timetable.Also she emphasized on the need  for the students to engage in recreational activities which will inturn help in boosting their mental  and physical wellbeing .

HAPPY CLASSROOMS-CBSE WORKSHOP- NOVEMBER 16, 2019

“In a very real sense, we have two minds – one that thinks and other that feels”
 One day workshop on the ‘Happy classroom’ was held at Vandana International School on 16th November 2019. The workshop was divided into two sessions which was attended by the Primary and Secondary teachers, co-ordinators and Vice Principal of the school. The resource person for the workshop was Ms Savita Arora, Principal, Bharti Public school (National Teacher Awardee – 2012).
The session was conducted using audio-visual which kept the teachers actively engaged in the workshop. The activities included in her workshop were inspiring and thought provoking. She emphasised on the importance of being a role model for the students. She explained by quoting various examples that it is very important to reduce the communication gap between the student- teacher- parent trio for developing healthy and cordial relationship amongst them. Motivating the students with various incentives to maintain a conducive learning environment and not labelling a child were some of the other key elements of the workshop.
Indeed, the workshop was very informative and entertaining as it taught the important concept of incorporating happiness and emotions in the Class.
