On 24 July 2026, the gates of Vandana International School, Sector 10, Dwarka, opened to welcome students from schools across the region for Synergia 2026 – NEURA, our Annual Inter-School Competition.

Synergia has long been among the most anticipated dates in our calendar — a day when our campus stops belonging only to us and becomes a shared arena for the brightest young talent in Dwarka and beyond. This year’s edition carried the theme NEURA, a celebration of the human mind in all its forms: reasoning and imagination, logic and intuition, knowledge and the curiosity that drives it.

The Spirit of Synergia

The name itself explains the intent. Synergia speaks of energies combining — of what happens when talented young people from different schools, different classrooms and different backgrounds are brought together and given something worth competing for.

An inter-school competition is a peculiar and valuable kind of classroom. It teaches things no ordinary school day can:

• Performing under pressure, before an audience of strangers and a panel of judges.
• Meeting genuine competition from students who have prepared just as hard as you have.
• Grace in both outcomes — winning without arrogance, and losing without bitterness.
• Building networks with peers from other schools, some of whom become friends and collaborators for years.
• Representing something larger than yourself — a school, a team, a teacher’s months of preparation.

NEURA: A Theme Built Around the Mind

The choice of NEURA as this year’s theme gave the day a unifying idea. Rather than a loose collection of competitions, participants were invited into a single question: what is the mind capable of?

Across the events, that question was answered in very different accents — some analytical, some artistic, some collaborative, some fiercely individual. Watching a day of it makes an argument that no assembly speech can: that intelligence comes in many shapes, and that a school worth attending makes room for all of them.

Behind the Scenes

An event of this scale does not assemble itself. Weeks before 24 July, our student council, house captains and volunteers were preparing registrations, briefing documents, hospitality arrangements and the hundred small logistics that decide whether a guest school leaves impressed or exhausted.

Our teachers coordinated judging panels, timings and scoring; our support staff readied venues from dawn. That the day ran smoothly is a credit to all of them.

For our own students, hosting is its own education. Being responsible for someone else’s experience — greeting a nervous participant from another school, solving a problem calmly, representing your institution with courtesy — builds a kind of maturity that competitions alone cannot.
