PROMOTION POLICY (Grade VI-VIII)
Promotion Criteria – Grade VI to VIII (Middle Stage)
- To be declared “Pass” and promoted to the next higher class, a student must :Score at least 33% marks in each subject.
- Secure an overall aggregate of 33%, i.e., 33 out of 100 in each subject.
- Students not eligible to be declared “Pass” may still be declared “Promoted” under specific conditions as per school discretion.
Re-Examination
- Re-Examination follows the same syllabus and pattern as the Annual Exam.
- Students must secure 33% marks in the Re-Exam to be declared “Pass”.
- No grace marks will be given in the Re-Exam.
Essential Repeat
- If any student fails to secure 33% marks even after the Re-Exam, he/she will be placed in the Essential Repeat (ER).
- If any student of Grade VIII fails to secure 33% marks even after the Re-Exam, he/she will be placed in the Essential Repeat (ER) and retained in the same grade for the next session.
Missed Test/Examination Policy (All Classes)
- No retest for missed Periodic Tests.
- If one PT missed, the average of the second PT will be taken.
- If more than one PT missed, proportionate marks will be given.
- Retest for Midterm/Annual only on valid grounds with medical/relevant documents.
Head of School to decide on exceptions.
- Students should not attend school if they are unwell. No short leave or early pickups during exams.
