Student-Led Conference

“When students lead, learning becomes personal and powerful.”

At Vandana International School , our annual Student-Led Conference (SLC) reflects our belief that students learn best when they take ownership of their learning. This unique event empowers students to become confident communicators, reflective learners, and responsible individuals.

It is a structured platform where students present their academic progress, learning journeys, challenges, and achievements to their parents — guided by their teachers but led entirely by the students themselves. Students showcase their creativity through   projects, models and presentations. The conference also encourages meaningful dialogue between parents and children.

Think-Pair-Share

“Great minds don’t just think — they connect.”

At VIS, we believe that learning is most powerful when it is shared. Our classrooms come alive with collaboration, curiosity, and critical thinking through the active use of the Think-Pair-Share strategy — a structured approach that gives every student the opportunity to think independently, engage with peers, and express their understanding confidently. Think-Pair-Share is an interactive teaching technique that encourages student voice, active thinking, and meaningful collaboration.

Spellathon

“Every word you learn is a step toward mastering the world.”

At Vandana International School, the monthly Spellathon is more than just a spelling competition, it’s a celebration of language, vocabulary, and the joy of learning. Designed to ignite interest in English and Hindi  language, Spellathon helps students of primary classes to  build confidence, sharpen their memory, and enhance their spelling and pronunciation skills.

Read-a-thon

“Readers become leaders, one page at a time.”

An immersive reading marathon that inspires children of Grade I to VIII to read for joy and self-growth. It fosters reading fluency, comprehension, and stamina while celebrating every reader’s journey.

The Read-a-thon is more than just a reading challenge — it’s a vibrant literary journey. Students set personal reading goals, explore diverse genres, share book reviews, and participate in engaging activities like book swaps, storytelling sessions, and quizzes. Whether they are reading silently, aloud to peers, or listening to stories, children discover the joy and power of words.

STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math

“Where curiosity meets creativity.”

Hands-on projects and activities that integrate innovation, design, and problem-solving. STEAM enables learners to apply concepts in real-world scenarios, nurturing inventiveness and collaboration.

Maths Manipulatives

“Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, or algorithms

— it’s about understanding.”

– William Paul Thurston

We redefine the way children experience Mathematics. By integrating smart tools and digital technologies, we make Math interactive, intuitive, and enjoyable. From abstract concepts to real-life applications, our approach ensures that every child learns with clarity and confidence.Hands-on tools like geoboards, fraction kits, abacus, and tangrams build concrete understanding of complex topics.

Robotics & Coding

“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.”

Robotics Program for Grades III to VIII sparks curiosity, creativity, and innovation. We empower students to explore the exciting world of technology, engineering, and programming through hands-on learning and real-world problem-solving. Our Students understand sensors, motors, gears, and circuits through age-appropriate kits. We focus on Block-based programming (like Scratch) for younger learners and logic-based coding for middle schoolers.Students learn to ideate, prototype, and troubleshoot their own robotic solutions.Working in teams to design, test, and improve robotic models fosters essential 21st-century skills.Participation in intra and inter-school robotics challenges and exhibitions builds confidence and sparks competitive spirit.

Fine Arts

“Art is a way of recognizing oneself.”

– Maqbool Fida Husain

At Vandana International School, Fine Arts is not just a subject—it’s a celebration of creativity and imagination. As part of our best practices, students are given the opportunity to explore diverse artistic mediums including sketching, watercolour painting, canvas art, and charcoal work.

Our budding artists engage in still life and observational drawing, helping them refine their techniques and artistic perception. Through regular practice and guided instruction, students develop not only skill but also confidence in self-expression, contributing to their holistic growth.

Circle Time

“Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most.”

We believe that how the day begins sets the tone for how it flows. That’s why every morning kindergarten starts with Circle Time — a safe, inclusive, and joyful space where students and teachers come together to connect, communicate, and create a positive mindset for the day ahead.

Held in a warm, respectful environment, it encourages students to express themselves, discuss their feelings,

celebrate achievements, and resolve issues. Activities may include storytelling, mindfulness, games, or discussions on values, making it a powerful tool for promoting emotional well-being, social skills, and mutual respect.

Career Fair

“Empowering students to make informed choices is the first step toward a successful future.”

At VIS, we believe that informed decisions lay the foundation for a successful future. One of our most impactful best practices is the Annual Career Fair, specially curated for students of Classes IX to XII.

This enriching initiative is designed to help students explore diverse career pathways, understand the importance of selecting the right stream after Class X, and gain clarity about academic and professional pursuits beyond school.

Workshops, aptitude testing, psychometric profiling, and one-on-one counselling sessions are conducted to ensure each student receives tailored guidance. Our Career Fair not only broadens horizons but also empowers students to make informed, confident, and future-ready choices.
