Vandana International School in Sec 10 Dwarka organised Synergia, an inter-school competition for two days on 25th and 26th July in the school premises. Nearly 700 Students from 31 schools participated in this competition, which was organized for all categories of junior and senior.
In the various competitions held in two days the students participated in Rhyme, Group Dance, Quiz, Mathematics Wizard, Play, Debate and projects on social and environmental issues among others. While in Rhyme competition, the theme given was â€˜Animalsâ€™, Plays were all about fairy tales and castle but with a twist that added the zing. The little ones were full of energy and participated with full gusto. Group dance by Class 1 made the whole atmosphere melodious as they performed on the theme â€˜tribute to indian legendsâ€™ as our legends are our pride and we take immense joy in celebrating it. Students of Class 4 and 5 participated in â€˜Maths Ninjasâ€™ and their mathematical skills were tested in various rounds. In senior category the competition had topics like â€˜Pollution Perilsâ€™ where schools were allotted countries and children were required to make a project based on the pollution level for that country. Class XI students were also given a topic â€˜Hope! The new planetâ€™. They had to study and prepare a project and give a presentation as per the allotted country. â€˜Quill Artâ€™ competition was held to bring creativity of students to the forefront. The theme was jewellery and it was presented in a spectacular fashion. In all these categories Indraprastha school secured most prizes and took home the rolling trophy. The events promoted curiosity, exploration and excitement amongst the children and it was a fun filled learning experience for all.
We believe that such type of events helps in developing essential skills of public speaking and presentation skills. It also goes a long way to boost confidence of children to face audience comfortably. Students these days are very talented but lack the required platform to display their skills. The competition was judged by prestigious judges from different schools and organisation of Delhi. All the participants put in tremendous hard work to showcase their hidden talent. Students enthusiasm and vigour made the event a grand success.
